LIU Yong Professor
Introduction : Dr. Yong Liu's research interests are the design, synthesis, and self-assembly of bioactive polymer materials and their application in overcoming bacterial/cancer drug resistance. He has a dual Ph.D. degree from Nankai University and the University of Groningen (Netherlands). At Nankai University, he was engaged in polymer material synthesis, self-assembly, and structural characterization; while in the Netherlands, his research focused on overcoming bacterial biofilm resistance using nano-antibiotics. From 2019 to 2021, he was an associate professor at the Institute of Functional Nano and Soft Materials (FUNSOM), Soochow University. His research field is polypeptide multifunctionalization and its application in the delivery of biological macromolecules such as protein/nucleic acids. In 2021, he joined the Wenzhou Institute, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, as a full professor. Currently, he published over 20 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author, including 1 Chemical Society Reviews (IF = 42.846, ESI highly cited), 1 Nano Today (IF = 16.907), and 3 Advanced Functional Materials (IF=16.836) ), 1 ACS Nano (IF=14.588), 1 Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews (IF=13.3) and 1 Biomaterials (IF=10.317) papers. The total impact factor exceeds 300 with over 900 citations (according to google scholar). He applied for 5 Chinese patents, 2 of which have been authorized. Currently, he holds over 3 funds.
