简介： Carlos Platas-Iglesias is a Full Professor of inorganic Chemistry and Head of the Department of Chemistry at the University of A Coruña. He graduated in Chemistry from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1995 and earned his PhD in Chemistry from the University of A Coruña, focusing on the coordination chemistry of lanthanide ions. After postdoctoral research at the University of Lausanne and the Technological University of Delft, he joined the University of A Coruña in 2000. His research primarily involves the coordination chemistry of lanthanide and transition metal ions, with applications in medical imaging and therapy. He has also been a visiting professor at several international institutions and has published over 300 scientific papers in coordination chemistry.
