Bone related implants have huge potential market in global. Improving the implant outcomes and probability of implant success are highly pursued to relieve the pain of patients and burden on native healthy system. Bone healing is a complicated biological process with orchestered various biofactors, which can be improved or achieved by integrating various different functional materials into the implant surface. Taking advantage of the multiple interaction modes between plant polyphenol and proteins, many benifitial elements for bone were incorporated into the implant surface (Fig. 1), and a serie of papers were generated (ACS Biomaterial Science&Engineering 2019, 3582-3594; Langmuir 2019, 6752-6761; Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces 2019, 549-560; ACS Applied Bio Materials 2020, 673-684).
